Seismic design and more
When an earthquake protection system is used for a structure, the first step is to design it according to this system. In conventional seismic protection solutions, preference is given to the rigid design of structures so that they can withstand loads from earthquakes, wind, etc. However, in current techniques such as foundation isolation, TMD, etc., structures are designed to be lighter since the impacts of earthquakes and wind are absorbed by the products used in the corresponding chosen method.
E.g., when the foundation isolation is chosen, earthquake loads are absorbed by bearings (isolators), and there is no need for a rigid structural design as before. ESDESCON LLC is ready to support seismic design when implementing advanced earthquake protection techniques.
